I’m a huge fan of tiny homes. I think they are amazing. I love seeing what different designers and builders do to leverage small space and make an highly efficient, sustainable, and overall lovely living area. I also love that a new marketplace has emerged – the tiny home modular home industry. Aside from designers and developers sharing tutorials and selling blueprints/layouts, some builders can deliver fully built homes. Tiny homes offer a unique guest house (or space for elderly parents) and a nice income generating vacation rental property for the fraction of the cost of a full sized home. As development gets easier, and demand gets higher, tiny homes get more efficient to build and even more affordable.
The universal love for tiny homes has created one heck of a demand for sites like Airbnb and VRBO. If you’ve ever thought of building a tiny home or just trying one out for a night, you can easily find one just about anywhere on Airbnb and VRBO. Tinyhomes have been so popular, that Airbnb’s #1 most wished for listing of 2016 (in over 90,000 wishlists) was tiny home! So in honor of tiny homes, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite rentals.
